Integrated Weed Management in Transplanted Paddy

This book is written aiming at to find out the efficacy of different herbicides alone and in integration with other methods of weed control in transplanted rice. Among different weed control approaches, pre-emergence application of pretilachlor 750 g ha-1 without water stagnation in field upto one week fb post-emergence application of bispyribac-Na 20 g ha-1 was found more effective in reducing density and dry weight of weeds as compared to other integrated approaches and alone application of herbicides without showing any phytotoxicity symptoms in rice. This treatment was also found most promising in growth and yield attributes, yield, nutrient uptake by rice crop and gross as well as net returns compared to rest of the treatments.

Dr Vimal Raj Yadav completed his PhD degree in 2016 from GBPUA&T, Pantnagar, India from where he also did his B.Sc and MSc degree. Presently, he is working as SRF in Department of Agronomy, Pantnagar.Till now, he has ten research papers published in different peer reviewed journals. He has the expertise on water and weed management in rice.
