Integrating biodiversity into regional planning, Lake Naivasha Basin

They Say nature is life and biodiversity is what defines life though many have failed to realize its Worth as depicted on the constant degradation of its values thus calls for critical protection and conservation in order to realize sustainability of our Planet Earth.The planning research study was based on Naivasha Lake basin an area with biodiversity hotspots housing various Ecosystems with species diversity. The planning research study sought to investigate the viability of integrating biodiversity into regional planning to serve as base point of biodiversity management Plan to guide future planning with an aim of improve the state of biodiversity through safeguarding ecosystems and maximize its benefits through examination of existing situation, Main pressures impacting on biodiversity and providing strategies that will help reduce pressures and conserve the existing variability.
