Intellectual property rights in the software industry

Most of the work on intellectual property rights in the software industry has mainly focused on the US, while the EU has been received considerably less attention. The book provides both quantitative and qualitative insights on patents and open source software within the European software industry. The current book is an attempt to provide managers, entrepreneurs and policy-makers with factual information on the state of the EU software industry, particularly in relation to intellectual property protection.
