Details

The purpose of the study was to gather information about the social interaction of children with Deafblindness.A qualitative approach and case study, with interviews, combined with observation plus document analysis were used. Results indicated that the interaction of children with Deafblindness varied both in quality and quantity, among themselves and those around them. There is need for intervention strategies by caregivers at all levels of social development and communication. A qualitative "here" and "now" interaction and further research are needed to investigate both aspects of physical and social environment, and the interactive process between the individual with Deafblindness and the environment
