International Criminal Court: A jurisdiction without its own territory

The International Criminal Court is the permanent transnational court responsible for trying those accused of genocide, crimes against humanity, crimes of aggression and war crimes. It thus fills a gap in the visibility of crimes of a certain gravity. Indeed, war crimes, crimes against humanity, crimes of genocide and crimes of aggression falling within the jurisdiction of the ICC do not exist in many of the world's criminal codes, thus giving meaning to the creation of this international judicial body.
