The book, International Perspective on Death Anxiety provides an overview of the perspectives on death and death anxiety from the Eastern and Western literature available in the psychological, philosophical and religious sources. Several measurements of death anxiety and death depression are provided along with the test items. Research findings on death anxiety from around the world are reviewed with reference to group differences (gender, religion, and age) and several correlates. Finally, new findings on correlates of death anxiety in India are presented with special reference to the relatively disturbed and peaceful areas. To be specific, death anxiety s correlation with gender, Type A personality, self-esteem, mental health, physical health, beliefs in religion and social relation are provided in Indian context. The book will be useful for counselors, psychotherapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, psychiatric social workers, religious scholars, and philosophers.
