Interrelationship between hypertension and renal lesions in humans
Details
There is a continuous, strong and graded relation between hypertension, renal lesions and cardiovascular disease but no clear threshold value separates hypertensive patients who will experience future cardiovascular events from those who will not. The data was collected from Mines welfare hospital, Choasaiden Shah of the year 2008. About 150 patients were examined. For control, data was collected from 13th Annual Free Medical Heart Camp which was organized by Family Hospital & Heart clinic in collaboration with University of Gujrat on 29th March, 2009 at Kharian. About 600 patients were examined. From statistical analysis it was found that there is an association between hypertension and kidney diseases (p0.05). But it is more significant in salt range (p=0.004) as compared to that of control (p=0.043).Risk of cardiovascular disease depends on blood pressure and coexistent risk factors. Numerous factors definitely increase cardiovascular risk including age, family history, raised cholesterol, smoking, diabetes mellitus, obesity, sedentary lifestyle and left ventricular hypertrophy.
