Nowadays, human motion measurement is a field of interest for various branches of industries: medicine, sports, entertainment, military forces and logistics. The problem setting of measurement the human motion may seem very simple, the ways of its solution are however not trivial. The first human motion measurement system appeared in 70s and required enormous computational capabilities and was commercially not feasible Since then the rapid increase of the hardware powers caused rapid development of the human motion measurement systems based on various physical principles and targeted on different market segments. This book will focus on the inertial motion measurement system, principles of which will be presented in the following section of the introduction chapter and in the chapter 2 of this book. Such inertial motion measurement system is being developed in the "Fraunhofer Institute für Fabrikbetrieb und -automatisierung IFF" in Magdeburg for the commissioning purposes and so the concepts deliberated in this book will generally refer to this system.
Autorentext
The author was born in Russia in 1977, grew up and received his first higher education in Ukraine. In 2003 moved to Germany where he proceeded his education at Otto-von-Guiricke university at Informatics department. Currently the author works at "e.solutions" company (Audi).
