Introducing the UNESCO Chair of Allameh Tabataba'i University

The UNESCO Chair on Science and Technology Communication at Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU) was established 2018 within the Faculty of Communication. Its mission is to promote the effective dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge, fostering public understanding and ethical practices while addressing global challenges like climate change, health crises, and the moral implications of emerging technologies. The Faculty of Communication plays a pivotal role in supporting these efforts by integrating research, education, and public engagement to bridge the gap between science and society. This Chair aligns with UNESCO's broader goals of advancing education, science, and culture through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Dr. Ali Asghar Kiais a full professor of Journalism and Media Management at Allameh Tabatabai University. He received his Ph.D. in 1997 from the University of Sydney, Australia.
