Introduction and application of Liquid Crystal

we know that literally thousands of substances have a diversity of other states. Some of them have been found very usable in several technical innovations, among which liquid crystal screens and liquid crystal thermometers may be the best known now a day. The study of physical properties is important as it decides the applicability of liquid crystals so that, they can be used for practical advantages. The unique anisotropic properties of liquid crystals such as birefringence, dielectric/diamagnetic anisotropies, their viscosity coefficients and elastic constants are essential for any type of liquid crystal display. Liquid crystalline anisotropies are a consequence of intermolecular and intramolecular specific electronic and steric interactions. These interactions lead to the liquid crystalline long range order, which distinguishes liquid crystals from ordinary isotropic liquids

Mein Ausbildungshintergrund umfasst einen Master in organischer Chemie, aber mein Interesse gilt der physikalischen Chemie, so dass ich mein Forschungsthema in physikalischer und oraganischer Chemie wähle und schließlich wähle ich ein aktuelles Thema, das mit Technologiefragen zusammenhängt, nämlich "LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY".
