Introduction of new modes of urban composition

The renewal of urban spaces in difficulty requires a fundamental understanding of the concept of the urban project (through its contexts, its scales and its new dynamics and practices) so that the latter allows a sustainable redefinition, and this by integrating a new logic in its dimensions, its objectives and its practical methods. The city of Laghouat is experiencing a vertiginous urban growth, the development of peripheral neighborhoods that take the form of housing estates, and which remain under-equipped with poorly defined and unmaintained public spaces. This is why we propose a renewal project that integrates all aspects of a new urbanity, and which conveys the approach of a futuristic and sustainable urban design, through that of the past, more adapted to its environment and to the current and future needs of the citizens. This perspective will allow us to broaden the understanding of the urban, in terms of treatment, animation, and public space. To finally succeed in creating a piece of city at the scale of the pedestrian, rather than a huge set of residential districts.

Bouchareb Othmani Marabout ZOHRA, nacido el 30.04.1970 en Djelfa, es profesor de B. Licenciada por la Escuela Politécnica de Arquitectura y Urbanismo (EPAU), contribuyó a la supervisión teórica de magistrados en el Departamento de Arquitectura UAT Laghouat. En 2013, obtuvo un doctorado en planificación urbana en la UMC de Constantina.
