Introduction to Composites

In recent days, it s true that technological development depends on the advances in the field of materials. Composite materials are the recent materials, that have grown rapidly both in their applications and their economic importance. There are strong indications everywhere in the field and that this importance will be increasing in the future and no doubt continue to do so. Composite materials now occupy an established position in the aerospace industry, automotive industry and civil infrastructures. There is a large range of manufacturing processes for the production of low-cost composites. There is a need by engineers working in composites for a practical source of reference for the fundamentals of composites. This new edition has been greatly enlarged and updated to provide both scientists and engineers with a clear and comprehensive understanding of composite materials.
