The aim of this book is to:- Give readers the opportunity to get a general idea of the fundamental concepts of Software Engineering, as well as the software development and life cycle;- Become accustomed to UML modeling;- Be familiar with the object-oriented software development process;- Demonstrate how to move from analysis to design in object-oriented programming;- Be able to develop software using best practices;- Introduce students to working in groups on a software project.To fully assimilate the course, students are expected to have already programmed in at least one classical language, and to have knowledge of the following subjects: Classical Algorithms; General Computer Science; Computer Analysis Method with a Merise and UML approach; At least one procedural or event-driven programming language such as: C, PASCAL, QBASIC and Visual Basic Net.
