Investigating the Feasibility of Food Industry Wastewater

Garbage is one of the environmental pollutants that cause many problems, such as spreading pollution in water, air, and soil and transferring it to humans and animals directly or indirectly. Today, with the increasing expansion of urban and industrial societies, we are witnessing the widening of these pollutants. On the other hand, the aerobic sewage treatment plant produces significant amounts of surplus sludge. If these increasing amounts are not appropriately managed, it will cause environmental problems in the water, soil, and air and the possibility of diseases in urban communities. Considering the importance of the two mentioned issues, namely urban waste and sludge, it is possible to obtain a compound fertilizer by combining these two, which will solve the problem of urban waste and sewage treatment plants. And finally, the produced fertilizer should be used for agricultural purposes. The result of water consumption in food industries is the creation of wastewater, which varies widely in terms of volume and quality depending on the type of production and process.
