Investigation of the Unconscious Codes in The Shining Movie

Stanley Kubrick produced The Shining movie based on Stephen King's The Shining novel in 1980. After being on release, the movie emerged some criticisms specially on the different elements in the movie in comparison with the elements of the novel. Most of the critics believed that Kubrick did not understand the horror genre of the novel properly. The author tried to investigate the criticisms using Umberto Eco's codes of the unconscious and Freud's the Uncanny.
