INVISIBLE VIOLENCE

Intimate partner violence exists in every culture. Many factors may predispose or protect families from violence, and these factors vary culturally. Taking a holistic, culturally relevant approach allows mental health providers to not only address the aftermath of violence but also its prevention. This book discusses mental health issues specific to Latino families living in the United States and possible methods for treating those Latino families that experience intimate partner violence.
