The aim of this study was to compare two scales for measuring involvement: the New Involvement Profile (NIP) and the Personal Involvement Inventory (PII), assessing their psychometric properties when applied to the context of sport. The aim was to compare the explanatory power of these two scales in relation to the intention to recommend and the intention to repurchase participation in street running events.
