Internet of Things (IoT) plays a crucial role in various areas of life nowadays. Smart agricultural automation is an emerging concept, applyingtheIoT technology to agricultural areas. This paper aims at making use of IoTto automate an agricultural farm or a poly-house based on some predefined thresholds. The sensor technology and wireless network integration of IoT technology based on the actual situation of agricultural system for Remote Monitoring System is proposed.Major objective is to collect real time data of agricultural production byautomaticallychecking the moisture content of soil, temperature, humidity, rain, air quality, water level, andintrusion in the fieldandproviding alerts through push notification and email to the farmers. This concept is created as a product and given to the farmers for their welfare. This would also help the data scientists and statisticians for predicting better crop production in future.

Mahroosh Banday has done her Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) from Islamic University of Science and Technology, Kashmir in the year 2012. She did her M.Tech in Digital Communication from Uttarakhand University, Dehradun in the year 2014 and is presently a Research Scholar at NIT Srinagar.
