IoT based Smart Energy Meter for Agricultural Appliances
Details
In this book, we present the design and simulations of a wireless meter reading system for energy-efficient billing in agricultural households. Modern technologies like the Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence play a vital role in the growth, expansion, and development of all sectors in agrarian economies like India. To minimise energy consumption, we have proposed a smart energy meter based on the Internet of Things, which will continuously monitor the reading and control the electric load as per the requirements of a typical agricultural setup. The proposed system is designed to account for the maintenance cost, with minimal human intervention and fewer billing errors. The results of the circuit simulation in OrCAD, the programming algorithm of the metering system, and the calculations with different loads are discussed thoroughly in the book.
