Drawn from the Kensington Review, this volume covers the latter half of 2005, when the City of New Orleans drowned. While America had given the president a pass on the lack of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, the failure of the administration to alleviate the misery of Hurricane Katrina opened many eyes to the incompetence of the government from the White House on down. Meanwhile, British terrorists hit London in the 7/7 attacks, and the British Conservatives responded to their defeat earlier in the year with a new leader, David Cameron. In Africa, starvation hit Zimbabwe thanks to President Mugabe's policies. In Asia, Pakistani-Indian relations suffered over Kashmir.
