Islamic periods witnessed dramatic transformation through continuous dialectic relations between the built environment and human activity which in turn caused rich development for the features and urban spaces of the built environment that correlated strongly with actual human needs. This book reviews evidence on the ideality of built environment from Islamic point of view. The book solely dedicated to the Islamic concept in built environment and highlighted the hidden spirit in the Islamic urban form. The book is an opportunity to introduce readers to the principles of Islamic values which produced the unique built environment in a way that contributes bridging the gaps in this field of research.

PhD in Architecture, Islamic Built Environment & EIA. He is a fully licensed consultant Architect since 1996, one of the pioneers who established Faculty of Architecture at IIUM-Malaysia, Consultant and senior Design Manager for many international projects in Malaysia, and Dubai-UAE 1990-2010.He successfully combines professional & academic roles.
