Islamic organizations in contemporary Russia

Centralized Islamic organizations represent Russian Muslims during the process of state and confessional, interconfessional interaction and influence possibilities of realization of Muslims' religious necessities. Islamic leaders play a considerable role in establishment of traditionalist, modernist, or fundamentalist orientation of an Islamic organization. The latter circumstance forms ways of an organization development and the model of its interaction with state authorities and other social associations. Understanding of Islamic leaders' social attitudes is extremely important to regulate the religious situation and strengthen social stability in Russia. Islamic leaders' potential is revealed in this monograph that is essential for establishment of constructive dialogue between Islamic organizations and the society, the state authorities in the conditions of a secular state.
