Issues of Recent Indian Society in the Fictions of Chetan Bhagat

This is Dr. Patel's debut publication, which is his Doctoral Thesis submitted in April 2016 to the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ganpat University, Gujarat, INDIA. All the seven different chapters of the work start with a preview continue with the detailed analysis of the select fictions and end with summing up of the actual research findings. The first chapter is the introduction chapter which has following segments: - Biographical Sketch of Chetan Bhagat - His works and Literary Contribution - Bhagat's Position in Indian English Literature - Popular Literature; Popular fiction & Realistic Fiction - Reciprocal Relationship between Literature and Society - The concept of Contemporary Indian society - Reflection of Contemporary Indian Society in Bhagat's Fictions - Major Issues of Contemporary Indian Society - The Research Tool (Issues of Contemporary Indian Society) The following five Chapters analyse the select fiction with the special reference to the Research Tool. In the last chapter, Research Tool is tested with the actual Research Findings. It ends with some of the exclusive observations of the researcher on Bhagat's Art of Fiction Writing.

Prof. Vikram Patel completed B.E. in Civil Engineering in 2011 and M.E.Civil (Transportation Engineering) in 2013, Presented 05 research papers in National conference and Published 07 research papers in International Journals. Along with the presentations Author has attended 10 workshops related Civil Engineering.
