Japan: A Future Nuclear Power? A Tentative Conclusion
Details
This study is simply to give a hint on what is more likely to take place in the near future, based on historical facts, current policies, and ongoing threats within the international arena. The probability of Japan going nuclear is based on several interrelated logical bases. Through drawing a comparison between the historical and current strategic environments, it may be concluded that Japan might be an eligible candidate to join the nuclear club in the near future if the current international anarchy and regional strategic environment continue to threaten Japan's security and strategic interests.
