The right handed pitcher was drafted in the 5th round of the 2010 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft, by the Kansas City Royals. Adam currently plays for the Kane County Cougars of the Midwest League. The Cougars are a class A affiliate of the Royals in Minor League Baseball. In his senior season at Blue Valley Northwest High School, Adam threw 41 2/3 innings with a 2.16 ERA. His 79 strikeouts to just 7 walks impressed scouts. Adam signed with the Royals, forgoing his college commitment to the University of Missouri.
