João Ternura: from Cinema to Literature

The purpose of this work is to provide an interpretation, from the perspective of cinema and cinematic language, of Aníbal Machado's João Ternura, with a focus on the urban experience, highlighting the role of the civilisation of images. It is a fragmented work that uses typical cinematographic techniques, such as editing, among others. In addition, there is the approximation of the character's eye to the eye of the lens.
