Job Mobility toward agricultural sector in Cameroon

The central role played by agriculture in the economic development process, as pointed out in economics literature, is clearly visible in central Africa and especially in Cameroon. Indeed, weak performance in agricultural sector has negatives implications in terms of food security and balance of payments. Be given this importance, the Cameroonian government has give a great priority to agriculture related projects. However, all these strategies could be useless if there is no one to work in this sector. This study intend to contribute to a better understanding of mechanisms by which socioeconomic factors affect job mobility toward agricultural sector in Cameroon.
