A fundamental shift in the work attitude and the work style has been experienced in the banking sector due to the intensity of inter-bank competition and also on account of the adoption of information technology. This demands a radical change in the work patterns of the bank employees and downsizing of the work force in the sector. The implications of the above said transformations have affected the social and psychological domains of the bank employees.
