This study was carried out at the Natural Resources Department, Faculty of African Postgraduate Studies, Cairo University, Giza, Egypt. Experiments were performed in Horticulture Research Institute, Agriculture Research Center,Department of Fruit, Ornamental Plants and Woody Trees Breeding Research - Giza, Egypt during the period 2015 to 2018. The aim of this work was to develop a protocol for culturing conditions for the micro propagation of Simmondsia chinensis L. by using micro-cutting explants. Induction of salinity tolerance in jojoba plants through tissue culture mutation using gamma ray and EMS.

Researcher at the Horticulture Research Institute in Giza, Egypt. Got her PhD degree with first class honor in plant breeding, specialized in stone and pome fruits and jojoba breeding. Experienced in micropropagation of woody and ornamental plants. Received Best Paper Award from the Second International Conference on Horticultural Crops, Egypt.
