CE 1958), is a U.S. architect, philanthropist, social and species cause activist, founder and President of Arcus Foundation and billionaire stockholder heir to the Stryker Corporation medical supply company fortunes of grandfather Homer Hartmen Stryker, M.D. along with sisters Pat Stryker and Rhonda E. Stryker. In 2010, the newly-discovered Myanmar Snub-nosed Monkey was named Rhinopithecus strykeri in his honor; Stryker's Arcus Foundation had supported the primate research teams who discovered the colobine, already known and hunted for food by natives in Northern Myanmar on the Maw River, during the course of a survey of Hoolock Gibbons.
