As of June 2009 he is the 9th highest ranked player in Britain. Marray regularly competes in doubles competitions as well as in singles, pairing up with Richard Bloomfield, and left-hander Mark Hilton. As of late 2009 he began teaming up with Jamie Murray and has since won a number of tournament on the ATP circuit, including Salinas in Ecuador and Bergamo in Italy. His career-high ranking is 215, achieved in April 2005. In 2006 he plummeted down to a world ranking of 570 before mounting an incredible comeback after reaching the semi-finals of an ATP competition in Orléans, France, before losing to Olivier Rochus. He subsequently qualified for his first ATP Tour event outside the UK in Stockholm, and the semi-final of another lucrative event in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine
