José Luis DeJesús (born January 6, 1965) is a right-handed batter and pitcher. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and now lives in Cidra, Puerto Rico. From 1988-1989 he only played in 5 games with a 0-1 record. He played 1990 and 1991 in Philadelphia where he went 7-8 and 10-9 respectively. After a few years in the farm system, DeJesus played in 1994 with the Royals with a 3-1 record. Major League Baseball (MLB) is the highest level of professional baseball in the United States and Canada, consisting of teams that play in the National League and the American League. The two leagues merged in 2000 into a single MLB organization led by the Commissioner of Baseball after 100 years as separate legal entities.
