Haggas has the record at Virginia Tech for most assists by a shortstop in a game, with 9. Haggas set this record against Cincinnati on May 16, 1991. Haggas was drafted by the New York Mets in the 22nd round of 1992 amateur entry draft, and played 3 seasons in the Mets system.
