Julie Haus-Alkire (born 1973 as Julie Ann Hoeinghaus) is an American fashion designer. She was born in Texas and raised in various cities across the state. Julie Haus, as she is known in the fashion industry, was taught to sew by her maternal grandmother around the age of ten. Haus is married to Jason Alkire a former advertising executive and an established photographer and graphic designer. Haus and Alkire met while attending the University of Houston and were married in 1998. The pair now lives in New York City. Together they serve as the creative figures behind the Julie Haus collection as well as the J/J by Julie Haus diffusion line.
