The philosophy of the Enlightenment still greatly influences our thinking today. This is especially true of Immanuel Kant, whose writings on moral philosophy, theory of law, philosophy of history, and political theory moulded decisively the concept Enlightenment based on terms like reason, critique, and immaturity. The contributions deal with Kant's work in a historical and systematic perspective and examine the philosophical significance of Kant's enlightenment philosophy as well as discuss its meaning for the future of Enlightenment thought.
