Karl Barth: The Doctrine of Election and the Ontology of the Trinity
Details
There has been a growing literature on the nature of the relationship, of the doctrine of election, and the being of God. The following monograph is an analysis, and critical appraisal of current debates, over Karl Barth's Doctrine of Election and his theological Ontology of God. The monograph serves as an introduction to Karl Barth's thought on the topic and theology more generally, while dealing with the implications of this for modern theology. It is the first work specifically dedicated to dealing with the current debate between Bruce McCormack, Paul Molnar, and other theologians. The work also provides helpful suggestions for moving the debate ahead. The work would be useful for undergraduate and graduate students in Theology or Religious Studies, especially anyone interested in Karl Barth.
