KARMA AND SOCIAL SANCTION IN THE FANTASY SOCIETY

The fantastic society is a concept that encapsulates the meaning of the strange events that take place in the stories of Bestiario, by the famous Argentine writer Julio Cortázar. The society immanent in each story is governed by a social and natural order that surpasses the will of the characters and leads them to experience implausible situations.Karma is the force in charge of reestablishing the order altered by the actions of the characters, which bursts into their lives in a determinant way, in the form of parasychological phenomena when the natural order has been violated; likewise the punishment or sanction becomes effective and evident, by the social circle of the characters at the moment of the commission of a fault, which opposes the severe code of conduct that governs in that society.
