Kashmir - Yearning for Peace
Details
The beautiful valley of Kashmir has been full of inconvenient historical facts and political waywardness. The decades of political alienation and unaccounted violence has pushed masses to the wall. The constant hostility, blame game and ego clashes between India and Pakistan act as roadblocks in the resolution of Kashmir issue. The prolonged conflict has shaped a gory history, a bitter memory and a life of indignity, hopelessness, poverty, suffering and exploitation. Standing witness to half-revolutions, vested interests and unmet promises, the state seems to be reeling under a severe crisis. There is a severe leadership crisis and Kashmir is longing for peace and needs the attention of the world. Understanding Kashmir requires an in-depth and empathetic understanding of its history-a history of suffering, deceit, oppression and Conflict.
