Kazakhstan and Russia: Regional Security Cooperation

The mutual interest in political cooperation in Kazakhstan and Russia, including in the area of regional security, is conducive to the intensification of the study of contemporary Kazakh-Russian relations and security issues in Central Asia. At the same time, although Kazakhstan's cooperation with Russia in the area of regional security has been addressed in a number of works, it has not yet been the subject of a special study until now. The focus of the research is often on subjects related to specific aspects of the problem. Speaking about modern studies by Western experts on this topic, we can conclude that to date there are quite a lot of works, analytical and journalistic in nature, but again there are no comprehensive studies that can cover a significant range of problems of Kazakhstan-Russia cooperation in the field of regional security.
