Kazakhstan: Issues of Culture and Education

This book represents a compilation of articles published between 2013 and 2016 in Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkey, Lithuania and Germany. The author reflects upon the current situation of the culture in the modern Kazakhstani society, and its role in the foreign language classroom. Furhermore, the author reviews the state of foreign language education and the newly introduced multilingual education system in Kazakhstan.

Mrs. Madina Ashirimbetova is a senior lecturer at Suleyman Demirel University, Kaskelen, Almaty oblast, Kazakhstan. Her research interests include culture studies and applied linguistics, TESOL and multilingual education. She is also passionate about professional development and constantly searches for the ways of improving language teaching.
