The study examines Kenya s recognition trends, rationalization of recognition of governments, major players and articulation of this policy under Moi s administration. Recognition can be said to mean the act of acknowledging the fact of existence of a new entity into the international system and according it an independent status in existing international order, with rights and duties as envisaged in the international legal document.
