Key Based Text Watermarking of E-Text Documents Using Z-axis

Digital watermarking is a technique which allows an individual to add hidden copyright notices or other verification messages to digital data. The technique takes its name from watermarking of paper or money as a security measure. This book seeks to the research and exploration of a new dimension in the field of Text document watermarking, i.e. Text watermarking of e-text documents in an object based environment. A Robust Watermark is more resilient to the tempering/attacks that a text document had to face like compression, cropping, geometric attacks etc. This work takes an e-text document as input and applies the desired watermark that one wishes to embed in the document so that it is not only invisible to the Human Visionary System but also strong enough to extract the original embedded watermark to an extent that it is recognizable despite of the tempering/attacks. Different kinds of attacks have been applied on the proposed watermarking scheme of e-text documents to prove its usefulness. That will solve all the digital rights management issues, data authentication and ownership problems of e-text documents.
