Knowledge and Adoption of Solar Pumps by the Farmers in Jodhpur

Solar energy is the origin for all forms of energy which can be used through the thermal route and photovoltaic route for different household purposes. The solar pumping system operates on the principle of photovoltaic technology. This investigation was conducted to study the knowledge and adoption level of farmers of Jodhpur about solar pumps. As Rajasthan is the best solar radiation state in India, there are more than 325 sunny days in a year. Jodhpur district is highly suitable for solar energy due to best solar radiation because average sunshine varies from 6 to 10 hours.
