Knowledge-based System for Capturing CNC Operator Knowledge

As the world moving further into the globalization era and intensified competition of the industrial world, effective management of knowledge is becoming a critical aspect. One of the reasons is that manufacturing process, which is the major cost driver, is growing complex, especially the CAM-CNC Operation. It is common to find CAM files which is not relevant with the CNC machine (also the shop floor condition). This leads to additional labor to the CNC operators. They have to manage the CAM file so that it is applicable to the CNC machine. Therefore, a system to capture and manage CNC operator knowledge is needed.
