Kurseong - A Land of Floral Diversity
Details
Kharsang, Kurseongguree and now Kurseong, connotes three different explanations. The name Kharsang for the Lepchas is the land of the White Orchids that hang from every moss covered branch, Kurseongguree for the Gurkhas of Nepal is a frontier post in the Far East and Kurseong is the anglicized version of the native name by the first white colonials. Kurseong is one of the nature's most beautiful gifts to mankind amidst the lush green tea gardens and wonderful Himalayan range in Darjeeling district. This book is a detailed information about floral diversity in Kurseong Sub Division under Darjeeling District of West Bengal, India. "Kurseong - A Land of Floral Diversity" will give a vivid description of lush green eastern Himalayan biodiversity.
