Labeobarbus Migration and Effects of Irrigation Canal and Sand Mining

Globally, Lake Tana has ecological and economical importance.However, the current status of Lake fisheries are exploiting unsustainable way. Labeobrabus species flock is the unique species and the species richness were declined year to year due antropogonic and natural problems.Therefore, this species should be conserved by developed methods which enhance the species sustainable reproductive performance.Finally, I recommend that, development and environment should be harmonized in order to create prosperous biodiversity, environment and improved feed nutrition for food insecure societies.

Mr. Gizachew Teshome has obtained his MSc in Fisheries and Wetland Management in 2014. Since then he has worked in Samara University at College of Natural and Computational Science Department of Biology as position of Lecturer in the field of Fisheries and Aquatic Science .
