Labor flexibilization in Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA)

The objective of this text is to identify the labor policies adopted by the Venezuelan State during the 21st century in public companies, mayors' offices and governors' offices, using the social economy models with the Associated Worker Cooperatives to modify the traditional labor relations historically organized under dependent labor.For the study of this labor experiment promoted during the current administration known as Socialism of the XXI Century, we have chosen the most important sector in the national economy as the oil sector, analyzing the labor impact of the Associated Worker Cooperatives (CTA), contracted by PDVSA and by national and foreign private companies providing services, involved in the system of labor relations of the contractor sector, in the Eastern Coast of Lake Zulia State in the period 2003-2017.
