Landscape Appraisal of Ondo State
Details
Human activities over the years have posed adverse effects to nature. The extent to which natural resources are being exploited is aggravated by urbanization and population explosion. The need for people to acknowledge the effect of well-planned landscapes on the environment and its users cannot be overemphasized. It is of great importance that consideration be made for green and structural elements in order to regulate the climatic conditions of an environment. Poor landscape management leads to deprived environmental quality and consequently destitute human development. This research work has publicized the significance of proper landscape design and installation as well as consistent maintenance of landscape elements especially the structural elements like fountains, driveways and the soft landscape elements as lawn, grass and trees. This was done by specifically assessing selected central business district in Akure, thus, recommending sustainable solutions to environmental problems that can be implemented at design, planning, execution and post construction stages of construction.
