Translation Theory / African Studies Dr. Konate Ahmadou Siendou tries to review the theories of language and translation used for the (re-)translation of African texts. The book shows the path leading to what strategies may be much better for the translation of African texts, thereby revealing that the future of translation and its theory is to be found in Africa rather than elsewhere. Besides, translation techniques and theories need also to seethe through the existing scholarship on translation from the marginal spaces also concerned with how their texts and ways of life are rendered into other language-cultures.
