Laser Cleaning of Particle Removal

A laser is a unique source of energy, providing an intense,highly directional,pure form of light that is able to deliver energy to a surface in a highly controllable manner.The interaction of laser beam with a solid surface lead to the elimination of submicron-sized contaminant particles.This observable fact can be utilized for surface cleaning.It is efficient, simple, fast and chlorofluorocarbon-free and has significant environmental advantages over standard.So the Laser cleaning is a valuable addition to the cleaning toolbox offering a highly selective,reliable and precise method.It has different cleaning process like"dry"meaning that no energy transfer liquid is present on the sample surface during laser exposure;"steam"the laser energy is absorbed by the substrate surface and the surface temperature rises rapidly;"wet"the substrate is immersed in an atmosphere of high relative humidity of water;"shockwave"uses a plasma shock wave produced by a breakdown of gas due to an intense laser pulse to remove the encrustations from the underlying material substrate.The main focus of laser cleaning processes is to developing techniques for cleaning applicatios in different fields & scales
